This is an evaluation of the progress made by the Barnardo's i-HOP service in supporting all professionals who work with the children and families of offenders.
The evaluation covers a year of the service, from the launch of the website and helpdesk in September 2013 to August 2014. The document inlcudes an executive summary, introduction, methodology and sections covering the helpdesk, website and engagement aspects of the Barnardo's i-HOP service. The evaluation utilises service statistics and data alongside qualitative information from stakeholders, advisory committees, service users and others to illustrate the impact made in four areas; multiagency working between agencies, Practice with children and families, awareness about children affected by parental offending, their needs and the support available to them and identification of children and families of offenders at local and national levels
