Children Heard and Seen Model School Policy for Parental Imprisonment

As part of the campaign to create change for children impacted by parental imprisonment, Children Heard and Seen would like every school in the country to have an official policy in place on how to support children with a parent in prison.

This policy was created by Children Heard and Seen practitioners with head/teaching experience and lived experience of parental imprisonment. It was written in consultation with children and parents supported by the charity, as well as teachers with lived experience of having had a parent in prison.
