Good Practice Guidance for the Support of Families Affected by Imprisonment

Facilitated by Families Outside, The Criminal Justice Family Support Network is a forum of voluntary organisations working across Scotland who provide support to families affected by imprisonment.

Based on research and practice, the Network has produced Good Practice Guidance for the Support of Families Affected by Imprisonment, which aims to ensure professionals in the voluntary and statutory sectors are best informed and engaged to provide support for these families. It includes guidance around various areas of practice with families, including health, finances, parenting, prison visit centres and prison inductions. The Guide is a 'living' document and will be updated as the landscape for families changes.
