Prison Chat UK (PCUK) is an online community offering support to those with a loved one in prison in the UK. PCUK offers a safe and non-judgemental environment for adults and young people to discuss issues and receive advice and support.
Dedicated areas of the forum exist for members who are under 18 which are heavily moderated. PCUK is managed by a team of volunteers who all have first-hand experience of the UK prison system and supporting a loved one in prison. Members remain anonymous by virtue of usernames.
Aims of PCUK:
- To alleviate the isolation felt by many prisoners' families, who are often left without support from their family or local community.
- To provide an anonymous environment in which members feel they will not be judged.
- To provide a place which members can access 24 hours a day to ask any questions and receive support.
