This is the second issue of Somerset Safeguarding Children Board's learning bulletin, "Things You Should Know", which highlights learning related to the safeguarding of offenders' children. The bulletin summarises a serious incident review of a case where a child was abused by their offender parent along with the resulting multi-agency safeguarding recommendations. It then considers findings of the Audit Subgroups in relation to eight cases of multi-agency work with children of offenders. General learning points for professionals working with offenders' children are offered as well as resources to support professionals, including the i-HOP knowledge hub.
