For this month’s newsletter we are sharing some updates surrounding some changes in regards to social visits and also to inform you of how we are running COVID vaccinations of those in custody. Therefore, please see below information provided by both the visits team and Healthcare Department who need your support as Families & Significant Others to encourage your loved ones to get vaccinated if they haven’t already and to follow the current rules of COVID within visits.

HMP/YOI Parc operates a family orientated visits policy. The majority of our visitors are accompanied by children and we want to foster a decent, safe and relaxed family environment for our visitors. To assist with this a dress code for visitors is in place, please relay this information to your visitors when informing them of your visits booking. Your visit may be cancelled if the dress code is not followed.

For this month’s newsletter we are sharing some updates surrounding recent changes in our resettlement services within the prison and what new support will be put in place for those who are being released into the community from July onwards. This is because we are aware that sometimes this element of prison life can be stressful and worrying for not only those in custody but also for their loved ones. From the 11th of August 2021 we will be allowing some physical contact during visits for those visitors who can evidence a negative COVID test on the day.
